Play, Make, Create first time after lockdown.

Today Miller and I did play, Make, Create the book that we listen to was called Cat and dog we made a machine that can make the cat and the dog get along so we made a machine that makes that cat happy. The things that Miller and I made were a perfume that makes you happy when you sniff it, a milk shack that when you drink it you get happy and a needle that stabs you with love and happiness. The whole reason for this task is because the cat and the dog do not get on well so those were some of the things that can make them get on. I think Miller and I worked well together and if I was to go back and build one more thing I would have made a dart gun with the needle in the gun to make you happy. This is it.

Play, Make, Create week 9 term 2

 Today the Whetu team was doing Play, Make, Create the book was called We are all equal I worked with Johan we chose the task create what you did in the task was you had to build a gadget to let a panda reach the bamboo. The hardest part was putting the spikes in the holes where the spikes had to go in the trap we made a trap to stop all the evil animals that would try to tell the pandas bamboo but the mane part was a blender to suck in the bamboo and turn it into strips that the panda can eat. The learning powers that I used most are creativity because I had to think outside the box and resilience because when times got tough we kept on going.

 Today Whetu did play make create the book was could Rain before rainbow I made a map I worked by my self the easiest part was when I had to draw everything on the map and the hardest part was sharpening. if I had eny more time I would have sharped all of the pictures to I am going to do a treasure hunt with my sister with something she loves at the end overall I think that it was
good, this is it.

Whetu challenge

 Today we did a Whetu challenge it was about making a newspaper tower really tall and it has to be free-standing I worked with Max, Haven and Johan the hardest part was making the base and the easiest part was making it taller. This time was way better than the last time we did this Whetu challenge because it was about 200cm taller the last time we did it I think that I and my group worked really well together and overall, I think we did really well we came 4th or 5th but overall I think we did well

Tooth poster

 This week Whetu has been making Posters about the importance of brushing your teeth I made two posters with Sol one of the posters was a step by step guide and the other one is ways to brush your teeth actively. The hardest part was when Sol was away and I had to do some of it by my self The easiest part was finding ways to brush your teeth right. I think me and Sol worked really well together and I would work with him again these are the final result.

today for Play, Make, Create I worked with Cullen and Charlie I with them I created a castle and I think it was cool. The easiest part was putting was getting the supplies to make it because there was a lot of competition. the mussel boys in please the hardest part Overall, I think it was a supernova.

Kite making

 On Friday the whole school made kites my kite was made out of a dog food bag, some plastic sticks and a plastic kite tale of a real kite. When I made my kite I worked by myself I could have worked with someone else but I chose not to.

 My kite was really good because it flew well and it was easy to make. I think the only way I could make my kite better is if instead of using the dog food bag, I should have used a flag. The hardest part was to get the kite in  the air by running and the easiest part was to cut the kite out. 

Overall I think my kite was a success and I would make that design again in the future I think the kite is a supernova

Play Make Create week two term two.

 Today I did play make create the book was could be you I made a trade market or a trade empire made of clicko at one point me and Ben were working together but then we realised that it was not good enough to make it a two-person job so we split up and split the stuff we made by getting whatever you made. The funniest part was making the people man the market the hardest part was finding the precise to make the stuff I needed If I got more time I would have added a car to carry the stuff they wore selling.this is it.

Franklin NumBots & TTRockstars Blog Post

 Term 2, Week 1 2021

During Term 1 we have been practising our addition and subtraction knowledge through the online programme called NumBots.  At the start, it was super easy but progressively got more challenging.

I am now on the Silver level of NumBots.  

I enjoy NumBots because I’m on the leader board and it is a little challenging It is really fun and cool because You have to finish stages to progress in the game and you can change how your robot looks.

What I find challenging is some of the levels on silver I only get two stars so they are one of the most challenging parts the most challenging levels in silver are the first two or three.

This week we have started TTRockstars.  This is an online programme which helps us to learn our timetables. First, we had to complete 10 Studio games which were really hard because they had basic facts right up to 12 x 12. Now that hard part is over we can play in the Garage and start learning our tables.

I think that TTRockstars is one of the funniest math game because you can get faster and faster in your time's tables it is probably my favorite maths game because you can do studio, Garage and jamming. I am on Rock legend.

Play Make Create term 2 week 1/Up the creak

Today I did Play Make Create with Sol, Lachie and Darius we built  a bout for the activity make somthing that could go through raped white water  that we all thourt it should be 3D  but we did not have enough time so we did it 2D The funeist part was  making a canin on the top.WE all had rolls on the bout My roll was to use the canon to break the rocks in front of the bout,Sol's gob was to be the captin of the ship and stear, Darius'sgob was to be look out and tell me if there was rocks and Lachie's gob was too catch fish for dinner that night.On the way to making the bout we had a lot of disagreements but evecherly we went with Sol's Idea.This is it.

Play make create

 Today I did play make create I made a campsite out of battens and then we did a play in the campsite and I worked with Noah, Ryan, Regan and  Eli It was super fun and cool I think it was a supernova. My favorite Part was building the tiki hut in camp we did the play about one of us going toilet and then turning in to a bear and then it was kinda a fight scene but only a bit We experimented with different roles for each person. After we did the play A little Moana kind broke our tiki hut and the rest of the camp one of them hurt their foot really badly because they kicked the tiki hut and it collapsed on their foot. The video of the play did not work because the play was too long so it did not send properly.

Maths mystery

 Today I did the Maths mystery and it was super fun I did it with Kurt and Noah we found out that the culprit is it was super fun and we finished in 10minits really. I think that it is a supernova The second clue was super easy but the fourth clue was hard but we found what we did wrong and then it was easy.

Play Make Create

 Today I have done play make create and I did it with Cullen it was super fun drawing Bob the minion what me and Cullen did was we did a way to eat the tall tree leaves if you have a short neck Cullen plated the legs and arms of the minion and I drew the minion. We did The legs in the minion movie that Bob the minion we plated the legs with wool and we drew the body in pencil and then coloured it in.

Week 5, Term 1, 2021

 Monday was our school Swimming Sports. On the day I was very nerves but I was calm in a way I didn’t win eny races but that’s ok I didn’t really care that I did not win or get into HP. I came mostly last and second to last because swimmings not really my thing because I have asthma so I pretty much lose my breath every race so I only did two things breaststroke and the one lengths but breaststroke was the only two lengths that I did overall at swimming sports I did not do that good but I had fun.

We had two art sessions this week and in art, I ma with Mrs Kennedy and me and my group are doing landscape with pant and lost of patterns. We are making it so everything has a different pattern we are putting the landscape art in a big circle overall it is super fun but I do not think mine will be amazing because I am not that good with pant.

Part of our maths programme is NumBots and I think I am ok because I am only on Titanium but I am only on there because I played at home and I got to glass on the first day so I was happy Numbots is super fun and cool and good for me and my maths leaning. I am super happy because I am on the leader board and I ma around 5th it is one of the best-leaning programs in my eyes because it is fun and helps me learn.

Whetu challenge 2

 
This week for my Whetu challenge I did a scratch, about the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar it was super fun making the caterpillar of costeme but I decided to use an image of the very hungry caterpillar a put it on scratch and then a made a butterfly too but there was a character of a butterfly but I did not use it. I got an image of a back round to put on scratch. This is it.

Week 4, Term 1, 2021

 The most interesting/fun thing we have done during class time this week is Numbots because I got to kevlar and of aluminium.

We started our art this week and I have chosen to do art with Mrs Kennedy and we are doing landscape art with no inhabiting it is very cool and fun because we use different patterns on each part of the panting.

We created our Whetū stars on Thursday and they look the whetu stars were fun because my dad came in to help me but he did one thing only glueing the stars together and that was a bad job.

Next week we have our school swimming sports. I am feeling nervous and I’m feeling scared but I think I can do good.

Week 3, Term 1, 2021

 Someone who has helped me with my learning this year is My friends and the teachers when I struggle their there.

The most interesting/fun thing we have done during class time is Numbots because it is fun, easy and I’m at the top of the leader board

The most fun thing that I have done at a play or lunchtime this year is moon hopper ball tiggy because we get to defend our self from the ball.

One word that describes learning in Whetu is prodigious because it's always fun and cool.

Something I am looking forward to is getting to diamond in Numbots because that is the highest rank and I can have the Platinum skin.
